Having someone with a vast network and with their finger on the pulse of corporate South Africa, especially where executive placement is concerned is crucial.

A CA(SA), ex-CFO, and respected within corporate executive circles, he understands what it takes to function at the very highest echelons of corporate South Africa. He’s been at the helm in running the financial responsibility of major corporates, with a track record spanning over 25 years.

His wealth of experience over the years has led him to identify specific skilled resource sourcing challenges that need to be addressed upfront, in ensuring a successful executive placement.

Relentless in his drive to find you the perfect candidate, Julian adopts a hands-on, direct approach that gets the required results.

PLACING A FINANCIAL DIRECTOR  IN ONE OF THE GLOBAL ITC GIANTS

With the company’s extensive global footprint, the board of directors were non-negotiable in their requirement for a South African-born and educated Chartered Accountant, with at least 8 years international executive level experience in a similar environment.

And to top it off, a candidate of colour was a strong preference. Talk about the proverbial needle in a haystack! After conducting an initial search of all major local competitors in similar industries, it became clear that no-one with the right qualifications and skills-set was to be found in the country. So, we did the only other thing we needed to do – expand our search to include global markets. We discovered that there were only a where a handful of qualifying candidates, whom we approached. Admittedly, this process took quite some time before candidates began taking an interest and engaging in exploratory discussions. Once this was buttoned down, we flew the preferred candidate, who was a South African employed offshore,  out to South Africa while  negotiations were being concluded. The candidate in question, was successfully placed
